Lăcră Grozăvescu (n. 1996, Caracal) is an emerging Romanian artist whose work explores the power of images to evoke personal memories and a collective sense of belonging. Her art delves into themes of identity, memory, suffering, trauma, and feminism, aiming to highlight the nuances of human behavior without diminishing individual uniqueness. Primarily working with photography, Lăcră also integrates embroidery, collage, and video into her practice. Her recent exhibitions span Romania, Italy, Greece, the UK, and the United States. Lăcră currently lives and works in Bucharest, where she studied Photography and Dynamic Image at the Bucharest National University of Arts.
